Christmas Day Celebrations
Christmas Day is celebrated as the anniversary of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Popular customs include exchanging gifts, decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family and friends and, of course, waiting for Santa Claus to arrive. All we want for Christmas is… Carols! The holidays are not only the perfect occasion to spend time with loved ones while sharing gift and cookies, but we have also the ideal opportunity to sing our heart out. The celebration of the birth of Jesus has long been celebrated in song, and well-loved Christmas carols are now at the very heart of the seasonal tradition. As Americans celebrate Christmas as a family holiday, Holycross Engineering College celebrates the Christmas Carols as a perfect family function every year. On this occasion, our students, faculty members, all teaching and non-teaching staff members, Principal, Correspondent, and Founder gather as family members and eagerly sing carols with their own orchestras. Sweets are distributed and shared. A special message is given by the Pastor. Finally and mainly centered around the students is the gift-giving Santa Clause. At the end of the Carol, our student-Santa Clause enters into the hall and gives gifts and greetings to all.
