Academic Profile

Myself Dr.M. VARATHA VIJAYAN having 26 years of experience in Teaching, Handled various Mechanical Engineering subjects and produced more than 95% Result in ANNA University exams and received Appreciation from various college Managements. I have worked in various positions in engineering colleges, including Principal, Dean Research, Professor, and HOD/Mechanical. I have successfully handled Anna University inspection commissions, job fairs, ISO auditing, association functions, national and international conferences, symposiums, and more.

Achievements

He is currently working as Principal at Holy Cross Engineering College, Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India. Over the past 10 years, he has served as Principal in various institutes, guiding more than 35 research projects for PG students and faculty members. He is an Author and Editorial Board Member for 13 national and international journals of innovative research in engineering applied sciences and technology. He has organized and published various national and international technical paper presentations, seminars, faculty development programs, and short-term programs sponsored by AICTE.

He has organized numerous motivational programs for both students and staff. He actively encourages students to engage in research projects and participate in various association activities through the Entrepreneurs and Development Cell. A renowned motivational speaker, he is also a startup mentor, skill training officer for MSME and MRWE, and an NBA & NAAC certificate advisor.

His dedication to institutional development and achieving the vision and mission of the institution is fueled by his extensive technical knowledge and commitment to academic excellence. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received the Best Principal Award 2023 from TwinTech Academy, Chennai.

NCC Navy Officer Experience

He served as an NCC Navy Officer for 16 years and earned the Commissioned Glass 1 Gazetted Officer Rank from the Indian Navy at the Seaman Ship Training School in Cochin, Kerala. During his tenure, he conducted various NCC camps and facilitated the planting of 7,800 trees at multiple locations.

He inspires NCC students to prepare for competitive exams in the Army, Navy, and Air Force, helping them achieve their dream of becoming defense officers across India.
